The Black Eyed Peas is a band from Los Angeles that perform in the genre of pop, hip-hop, dance music. The band consists of William James Adams, Allan Pineda Lindo, Jaime Luis Gomez and Stacy Ann Ferguson.
The Black Eyed Peas is a band unique in its way: it mixes funk black hip-hop with a female r’n'b vocals. The Hip-hop training of the band the founders is quite serious: at the University they were in the brake dance team where they signed their first contract with the gangsta-rap label, Ruthless Records (however, due to the softness of the Black Eyed Peas album sound it was not released). The first album under the name of The Black Eyed Peas came in the label of Interscope – then, in addition to Will.i.am and Apl.de.ap the group became MC Taboo (Taboo). The vocals on the first two albums was made by the singer Kim Hill. On the first disc BEP present such artists as Macy Gray, Chali 2na of Jurassic 5, De La Soul and Mos Def but they never had commercial success.
Wide success came with the release of «Elephunk» – when the group included the sexy babe Fergie. However, the frivolous little things were managed by the band much better: it’s subsequent hits, stormtroopers charts – «Shut Up», song-dynamo «Don’t Phunk with My Heart», «Pump It», emerging on the sample, borrowed from the song ” Misirlou “Dick Dale (Dick Dale) (known in the film” Pulp Fiction “) and, of course, the immortal anthem of Fergie “My Humps”.
Albums «Elephunk», «Monkey Business» and «The E. N. D. » became platinum for several times. Last year’s «The E. N.
